Rise Out of the Ashes

Rise Out Of The Ashes

Filled with apprehension the heart pleaded for sympathy

Eyes desperately focused beyond normality seeks a sign

When anguish mount while darkness insists on lingering

Do we deserve sheer punishment for misjudging gloom?

At times love misinterprets emotional ache as an excuse

Must it lay silently underground until it freezes for good?

If even just one promise attains autonomy from disarray

Plant a kiss, a subtle embrace, and rise out of the ashes!

I've taken your advice. Started planting Hershey kisses in my garden this afternoon. Gotta keep my resolution to eat chocolate every day. It's a tough one, but someone's gotta do it! lol.

It is great to see your poems after a while Anselmo ! Love should be expressed and shouldn't let it freeze underground. An embrace or kiss can make one rise from the ashes ! Well said dear friend !

Thank you Valsa! I just came home to Florida last night from my cruise trip in Europe and Israel, I was there for 6 months. Good to be home. Your poem that I read is awesome...ab
