Righteous

This poem was entered into a contest on another site. The prompt was: "Allow the verse below speak to your heart before writing me a rhyming poem. "The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul." ~ Proverbs 16:17" Righteous Preaching and teaching Walking my talk Sculpting a picture Man may not gawk. Jesus scathing my brain He is whipping me into shape His paths spreading before me Now seeing the path to take. Preaching is my chore this morning A calling I can't ignore Watering and feeding lambs I do it shore to shore. The lambs are ready to eat They are sitting at the Shepherd's feet.
