There was an endless world,
created by two
Emotions rushed, pouring across days and nights
until, such sorrow
A bitter cold washed upon what was fertile
and burned tomorrow, leaving nothing
but empty hearts drifting away
Though years passed, you haunt me so
and bring a warm smile of gratitude
for sharing such romance if only fleeting
I wonder what might have been
had the fires that burned consuming our souls
not left us vanquished foes by our own hands
for being so much alike
Tonight I raise a glass in your honor
in quiet solitude
allowing your memory to cleanse my regrets
and capture briefly our moment in time
When the world stood still
and all of life was consumed by you
"to you my love, right here in my heart
it was glorious"
