Riding Back Alone

Riding back alone Trees pass by menacingly But my hands hold no wheel I’m not even looking ahead of me More interested in what’s to the right These strangers know me better than you do And we’ve never even spoken beyond awkward peeks You said you’d never let me down though you already have And now, I’m riding back alone because I don’t need you beside me
