Ride On a Restless Breeze
I took a ride on a restless breeze;
she told me of her travels wide;
she took me on a flight
of soft and silky, winds; a delight.
She, a magic carpet,
told me terrific tales, some the darkest,
so old and timeless they be;
that it took the entire night, our universe to see.
Yes, above the stratosphere,
I rode upon her without fear;
the planets to me she introduced;
for the occasion, they dressed in suits.
They were such formals to behold;
worn by planets very old;
a party ensued in space’s frosty void;
some warmth, Venus deployed.
I still think about my planet friends,
along with those gifting winds.
Perhaps another time I’ll receive,
another invite, just for me.
