RIDDLED WITH SYLLABLES writing riddles in numbered syllables one to ten then back again…. Clone poets poise breaking soils buried recoils pale boned words recall meanings leaning extremes only tomatoes and beans A ‘mused’ but not yet D ‘composed’ forcing phrases on countless pages devouring clichéd thick fingered wisdom spinning self-consumed cocoons of pride in woven disguise they try hide mining secret metaphors housing rapid heart beats flat blue sky circles elusive prose exposed Clone © Kim van Breda—7 October 2015
