Riddle the River

Boulders on the river bed
Pancake flat to taste the cool
bubbling 'round them silver spheres
Fish and hidden trinkets
We shall spread our picnic lunch
with three blankets on their skin
We shall make the plunge of toes
River River, let us in...
Trees to hold our memories tight
Compact scene to break our mold
swirling currents kiss their roots
Earth and bitten berries.
We shall climb the lazy trees
with bare feet we shall begin
Then we'll dive to dizzy heights
River, River, let us in...
