Rhapsody
I will write a few gathered words about my lover,
from the past;
and will collect my tears in a big glass jar,
that's a lovely dress, he said, now take it off.
How our bodies fit together like puzzle pieces,
he whispers in my ear sexy things;
when he touches me- my blood is pulsing hot,
my body ignites with an ache and he kisses me.
I breathe him in,
and we are lost in a wild whirlwind of lust and love.
The sheets are in a tangle and we are all sweaty,
I love him so much;
and want to be sheltered in his arms forever, ever,
he whispers, kiss me, and I do, and I am lost again.
Oh, I found my safe sanctuary in his beating heart,
a refuge in his soul and shelter from my pain;
I wish that I could freeze time and stay with him,
I stroke his face and lips and he smiles at me.
And whispers, love me,
beyond the closed curtains- the midday sun shines.
