Notes About The Poem

This was inspired by that great band The Beatles they tried to show the right way sadly it fell on deaf ears

Revolution Or Peace

Hatred, anger, flames burning up souls
destruction, killings all manner of evil  
brother turning on brother, father  on son
riots, police being so incredibly brutal.

Wars for no good reason corrupt powers
Bloodshed and children skinned alive
how did we all arrive at such devastation
this surely is not how we should live.

The Beatles sang of love and peace
Tried to show us the way of harmony
peace is the only real way to prosper and
become united with all races and creeds

Flower power, hippie's were on the right track 
how did their message go so badly wrong
how can we one moment sing and enjoy love
it shows us all in a terrible  horrible spot light.

Instead let us do good things, have kind thoughts
reach out to help others, learn to live in peace
let sunshine into our hearts fill souls with love,
kindness and reach out with love, love and more love.
