Revived In the Rain

The lightning in my mind
To pierce through the night
And now I can not hide
The truth has come to light

The failure of a man
The child had to demand
Collapsed in glowing rain
Conducting every shame

The walls have crumbled down
Revealing what I found
Before I looked away
Truth empowered by the day

The night could never last
As long as I could ask
What have I now betrayed?
When will I be okay?

There was nowhere I could turn
Nothing left to yearn
No way could I try
But now it burns my eyes

The lightning in this storm
Unveiling every form
Silhouette of what is gone
Breaking into dawn

And everything is known
Beyond the dark below
The rain reveals the flow
And the fallen start to grow

The lightning through my heart
Reviving one more start
Awake and now at peace
The light has pulled me to my feet
