Revival of the Muse

Arise! touch our souls with the words Speak to our empty hearts Spell our names with the tongue of wisdom Sanctify our minds in the sanctum of sanctity We summon the spirit of courage Direct the heart to the purpose Heal the wounds of laziness Kick away vanity and dumb pursuits Precious flower of the poets grow and wield your energy in us Enter the core of our being Stimulate our dying souls to reconnect and establish an eternal reinforcement. We stretch forth our hands towards heavens to recover the lost pearls Of wisdom eternal Of everlasting truth and so be it. © Michael Bassey Johnson 2015
