Amidst the chaos and conventions The political ads with evil intentions The truth was twisted and left to die Watch the rich man laugh and the poor man cry We had conservatives in our youth Who had some connection to the truth Power and greed, corruption and deceit Have taken the battle into the street Represent the people, they no longer can losing connection to the common man He's still conservative but he no longer buys Assaults on the White House with innuendo and lies He fears that the truth may never be found Lost in the minds of leaders unsound To win at the polls regardless of cost Even if the country is lost To rebuild a nation with the economy broken Cannot be cured by lies that are spoken Better ideals and integrity sought The truth will bring a reversal of thought. The actual twisting of the truth by Lyin' Ryan at the RNC was an embarrassment to any American.

As a right of central voter, I disagree. We are a nation of many different viewpoints. That is why we have a two party system. If we were all Dems, we would be like Russia or Chna. We are not, we are all Americans not born of a single mold but created in freedom of speech and choice.

True comment Vince, the thing is Sensible people want better.' As Allen but optimisam is used By puppet masters with deeper Pockets than Trump even' yet Awareness is happening Australia Is alert now' I think the situation will change there then how will the media keep it quiet ?

I do agree with you, Allan. I've been in favor of conservative leadership but what I saw when I wrote this was ultra-extremist conservatism and the reversal of thought was mine. The two parties only work together to keep honest leadership out of office. Third or fourth party candidates will find it impossible to get elected without the corporate pirates backing.

this is classical Vince, a wonderful poignant poem,, told as it is...you know Vince for years now i've worked with mingle with good honest folk, most who like me and you know, what is going on, yet somehow the powers to be, are able to safeguard the smoke screen that they manage to hide behind.... again love the poem,,,
