Revelations In the Night

Tidal waves of feelings,
Break silent moments
Unexpectedly, instantaneously
Here are those tears again
Familiar, yet re-living a new thing
Feeling a sledge hammer
Crush my heart
Will it keep beating?
    -  Yes it will  -
Until the words are heard…
Change evolves beyond a season,
People heal in the open air
Truth they’ve been waiting to hear
At night, they will rest calmly
In reassuring blankets of security
Wrapping them with knowledge
Closing their eyes to find
Long lost, pleasant, dreams
New revelations, in the night
Because, now they finally know
   - Everything will be alright  -
