Revelation Imitation

it happened one
dawn not even
on the end of
the Mayan
calander

the sun broke
Nature's Y2K
all clocks
stopped
ticking

butterflies became moths
flowers smelled foul
rock became
liquid so
i threw

in the towel
and caught
a tidal wave
that took
me out

to the bluest sea
i'd ever seen as
night and day
embraced
as the sky

became grey and stayed
that way for the
amazingly
long time
of

eternity
