Reticent Voices Heard Only In Thoughts Sos

an obscurity of thoughts
fall like soft rain
through emotional pain
that linger again
in caliginous mind
that feed my pen

words stumble
atop sheets of white
unspoken, unheard
like soft whispers
of a gentle wind
although seen
remain uncomprehended
like laconic utterance
within bold frames
of darkness

i feel its chill
as i walk alone
unknown
through paths
once blocked
where people stand
beneath the effulgence
of moon's full glow
like stars
together
yet afar
untouched
by my words
or yours

i feel you
guide me as i slump
beneath the shadows
of their selfless rituals
through the force
of my pen
scribbled
through silence
in darkness
alone

What I really like about this poem, Sandra, is that you've kept the feel of the song in your poem, as you interpret it. Not easy at all to do. Kudos. G.L. in the contest. :) gw5K5

Thank you Gershon, i did research it some and then took my meaning and tried to fit it within the guidelines....I am glad you saw it in that way! hugs :)

A wonderful take on the subject, Sandy. This was always one of my favorite songs growing up, Paul Simon was such a wonderful poet. Best of luck in the contest. All the best my friend. Hugs, John
