Restricting the Intake of Brussel Sprouts - You Cannot Be Serious

We should only eat six sprouts at Christmas Deem the council who are in Leicestershire Its no joke, it’s a serious message at Xmas To reduce waste and not make it higher We must cut back on crisp pigs in blankets And should only have three stuffing balls Also cut back on spuds and fluffy Yorkshire puds Gee I’m going to be climbing the walls! I love to eat sprouts at my Christmas dinner There will be NO sprout restriction for me I’m rebelling; you may call me a sinner There'll be piles of sprouts when I eat tea Yes I’m going to load up my plate Those officials can just go to hell I’ll eat sprout after sprout after spout And then let out a disgusting smell The council’s intentions are honourable Of that there are no doubts But Leicester County Council Keep your mitts off my Brussel sprouts! 12/21/17

I'd rather eat wombat snouts than brussels sprouts! Me, the contrarian hardcore vegetarian.

Lordy, Lordy, I've been so worried about my BSprout consumption and have been waiting years to hear the official verdict on Sprout intake. Finally, I can rest sprout easy! I don't even like them, Jan - right up there with beets (yuck). This is hysterical. Took me long enough to get here, but it was worth it because I needed this humor - written so very well! Thinking of you ... CayCay

ha ha ha Pat I's a shame they can't focus on something a little more pressing than eating one too many sprout ... and where is their Christmas spirit. i would love to see secret photo's of their Christmas dinners to make sure they are following their own rules... I think it would be very revealing - now pass the bowl of sausages and stuffing balls Pat lol:-) hugs Jan xx

That is ridiculous Jan. You just can't monitor what people eat. I'm with you. I know you are enjoying having your son with you right now. My son and daughter are in California. But I do have my youngest daughter and g.daughter here and I hope they never move away. Happy Holidays my friend! : ) xxoo

My muse is playing up at the moment and i spend little time reading and writing but my son is here and poetry is taking a back seat! They should be encouraging us to eat our green not restricting us and I am never going to stop at 6 sprouts and they can throw me in the cells for crimes against the ozone layer lol :-) hugs jan xx
