Restless

Yesterday mother nature was restless, strong winds blew Kind of like my restless heart, sitting alone, waiting for you Overnight's dreams calmed me like a soft blown breeze Today is settled and quiet, with beams of sun on snow through the trees I am not one to know the timing of greetings or goodbyes On these rolling hills through life, with silent, distant, cries For this, for that, for all that ensues, After those restless moments when we are gifted to choose Heidi Sands 3/1/24 (C)opyright

You have powerfully equated nature's restlessness with your own. Hope, it won't last long. May peace and quiet descend down to you. A beautifully rhyming poem, dear Heidi!

you captured the beauty of nature even when it's restless, reminding me that I should do the same with people who are restless, etc., --look for the beauty beyond. Nicely done! enjoy your evening, hugs, Sara

Dear Heidi, your poem beautifully captures the ebb and flow of emotions intertwined with the rhythm of nature. Wonderful imagery of strong winds and settled quietness mirrors the fluctuations of the heart, waiting and yearning. A poignant sense of longing and reflection shows us the restless journey through life's ups and downs. A heartfelt piece. - Blessings, Daniel
