Resting
In deep repose she lays there
Why so still, not a movement made
Newly brushed and fanned out hair
What could trouble such a maid
If the bullies could see her
All relaxed and fast asleep
Not scared of her own shadow
Or the abusers that make her weep
Doesn’t talk about this happening
Keeps it deeply hidden within.
That’s why she needed help resting
Before the churning inside begins.
She chose hypnosis to help her
Thoughts deep inside must show
Buried deeply it’s not healthy
Clear the fears they have to go
When awoken she was stronger
Mind set, no longer being afraid
Will stand up to her aggressors
No more the frightened maid
