Rest In Peace
People call for unity and reconciliation
But I don’t want to get along with my enemies.
I don’t want to compromise
With those who hate my values.
The days of compromise, reconciliation and unity
Are gone, and long ago
I stopped sitting in circles singing Kumbaya
While those who hate me smile and drum
And sing with forked tongues.
What does the world need? Love.
What has it had enough of? Fear and hate.
What does Kumbaya accomplish?
Cover for the enemy to advance
And divide and destroy
What it is they will never accept.
And what is that? Peace and love
And respect for individual sovereignty;
Theirs, mine, ours.
