Resilient Night

Flight of the vaporous clouds,
moving at speeds unfathomable—
like these thoughts...
entangled in dead branches
longing to be free—lusting after
the deep blue of the night sky—
trying—flying.

I flee not from my sorrows,
I flee not from you,
my love...
I fly in these vapors,
entranced by change.

I believe our souls caress
Transformations
in every fullness and waning
of the resilient night.

Justin Bordner June 24, 2021 at 1:45 PM Desires in the wind's pulse caught in the remorseless clutch of tree soul shadows...the pain of an unreachable horizon haunts the needs of suffocating dreams. I would rather live on a bloom of pain than the sighs and winds of memories which is what this neat poem conveys to my mind Poetess.
