Reset the Clock

Coronavirus the death toll rises
Italy bodies picked up from the street
lives destroyed financial ruin
life the struggle to survive

A rich man walks away from his life
the company, left in ruin behind him
lines wait to claim benefits
life the struggle to survive

money lost no money for rents
no money from rent
no money for mortgage
no money for banks

Banks could collapse we could have a depression
yet money is only paper an idea of man
we could just simply reset the financial clock
spend all the money you want

drive the world into debt
but then once the virus had finished
it's pain full journey into our lives
we could reset the financial clocks

back to what they were before the virus
we could reset the clock
give back the companies that the rich man lost
give back the jobs that the people need

we could reset the financial clock
back to the day before the outbreak
back to a days where we were building dreams
money is only paper people can rule the world

The shops, the restaurants the people
are all still here
financially we could just reset the clock
and leave the virus behind
