RESCUED
Promised to always love you whatever comes my way
But hatred has overtaken my heart
Promised to always follow The Way
But cares of the world distracts my heart
Promised to always speak of your love to the weary and lost
But I have seen myself becoming a rebel
Promised to always be at my duty post
But I often get carried away by Jezebel
Promised to always speak of the Truth
But my sinful member keeps silencing me
Promised to always hold on to the Faith
But worldly pleasures sometimes pressure me
Each dawn of a new day takes me farther away from my Master
Until Love shows up for my rescue again
The special love of the Father
Now I’m free to run and fight again.
