Rescued - Version 2 Ending
A mother carefully cuddles with her newborn baby,
Wondering what it was that she must have done so wrong.
She can feel it breathing, but ever so faintly.
The little baby's strength has been fading all day long.
The mother gives her nourishment and comfort through the night,
Hoping and praying that its tiny heartbeat will last.
She knows that on such a cold, winter night, she must fight,
Remembering what HER mother taught her from the past.
Early in the morning, a man arrives through the snow.
He leans over and picks up the very weary pair.
The baby regains her strength and begins to grow,
But the mother dies in his tender, loving care.
