Requiem of the Rising Sun: March 23

Clouds are heavy with despair They fill until they can hold no more, then Unleash their icy blast Fear swirls in gentle wisps Then whipped into a biting frenzy by lies And time that burrows into wounds and festers Swirls slowly, covering the wasteland in its incapacitating chains Seeps through skin into bone And settles deep beneath the heart Of this proud nation
