Requiem of the Rising Sun: March 23
Clouds are heavy with despair
They fill until they can hold no more, then
Unleash their icy blast
Fear swirls in gentle wisps
Then whipped into a biting frenzy by lies
And time that burrows into wounds and festers
Swirls slowly, covering the wasteland in its incapacitating chains
Seeps through skin into bone
And settles deep beneath the heart
Of this proud nation
