Reply To the Girl Celtic
A celtic girl saw me laughing
Like a tree in the rough humor of wind
Thought my joy could only be
Sparkling like the diamonds of England's majesty
Yes, my dear, O yes, yes, yes,
But not on England's throne she sits
The dazzle of earth's jubilee
And yet she is somewhere near, somewhere near
O celtic sage, I would tell it to you
But you would sing it forever in your song
And all the world would want a strand
But this prize must to me alone belong, just me
I daily share the moon and sun
And I cannot but share the sweet sapphire of the sea
But this diamond of my heart and love
Is my only majesty, is my only majesty
