Repercussions

We scream silently as the doubt overwhelms.
Alone in this void called the world;
Our captain of this voyage has,
no one at the helm.
Passages of old journeys are but faint echoes in the winds of sorrow.
As we struggle to survive the passing of life;
Our regrets pass in line one by one from yesterday to today;
Casting doubts into our new tomorrows.
Marriages end, lovers pass and we often stand with out meaning.
We who are the lost children of life;
crying out our unheard sobs,
Walk about as unseen beings.
Pictures (in the mind) slowly fade;
Recollections of experiences become altered.
Marching in line, vacant dreams serve only illusions,
of a childs parade.
The voice of the father is diminished by the sounds of depravation.
From a world that is overt and difficult to understand;
We the few seek but find;
No acceptable explanations.
A mother that never was, A loved one who turned away;
Undying love is not enough, there are required expectations.
Such are the conceptualiities that mutate,
The colors of our world into the color gray.
The yolk of bondage has been applied and we labor under the strain.
We ask why, why must it be as such?
These unanswered questions rush to our heads violently;
Like the blood that pumps noticeably in our veins.
I weary, as I suspect do others such as I.
The cost has become beyond means,
As we ask when?
When will this charade pass by?
Unwilling to look away for fear of the unknown;
Desperately seeking to release unhealthy concessions;
We search aimlessly--searching for perhaps what never really was--
