Mike Grant Date: 2/13/2019 11:26:00 PM As I lie next to my loved ones as they fall asleep before I do and within a few minutes they let out a faint snore. I embrace the sound because the silence scares me I'm afraid something is wrong. As they snore I know there alive and well and it brings me peace knowing that they are healthy! That's just me other people might think I'm weird Wich is true I am a little paranoid/ weird! Nothing like hearing the sound of your own children snore and know that they feel safe and resting well. Sometimes I hear my dog snoring really loud. After several years of being w/someone you love, it’s easy to covet their rest while you lie there next to them in the midst of insomnia. I get a little jealous. He does too when it happens to him. It’s like we take turns in our weeks of insomnia. Oddly enough, I miss hearing my Daddy snoring when I was a child. I wish he was still alive to keep us all awake. Silly the things you miss about people. Sometimes sleeplessness feels like a punishment. No rest. Thank you for your kindness. ;)
