       Renewal of faith at dawn
         Despair as day dwindles to dusk

       Ascension with the rise of the moon ~
         Depositing my soul with the Almighty soon

I like the word placement for the first word of each line, 'renewal, despair, ascension' - big picture words with time images of dawn, dusk and moon , and the last, like a bank entry, 'deposit(ing)'. 'Dwindling' is such a sad word, more than 'fading', or 'losing' (especially next to 'deposit'). Faith by definition is future, and 'soon' brings it forward. For me, being held is as much or more than 'holding on'. J :)
