Renewal

a foreign land
beckoned me

gentle pelting rain
hailed my arrival
foreboding grey skies
shed light in my sorrow

a man of integrity...
my destiny
unsealed his heart
and opened his home
to this falling star...

cultural stresses
proved me stronger
unconditional love
mended my broken soul

grief fades
life blooms again
I give thanks
