Renew On the Serengeti

The rains in fall on the Serengeti lands It's impending approach is in natures plans From barren to lush bringing droplets of pure Seasonal they are, but will it remain her renewing cure For we treat her lands so bad, so mean we don't console Will we ever understand to our neglect that we extol There will be a day, when these vast expanses turn to dust And humans and their wants, will turn their iron into rust We have to take a stand, before it's all to late And sit around the mediating table before we reach hell's gate Decisions for the good to be made for our futures kin As the heads of State's shake hands, from this room within Inspired by Wilma Neels poem "Renewal" ty. http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/nature-15.php

Awesome poem on the need to treat our Earth kinder if it is to maintain its bounty in the future, James. Wilma can be quite a source of inspiration in many ways. You did a terrific job with your take on her message, dear friend. Love, Carolyn (Check out Chris Matt's contest -- I think you will enjoy this one as you can use lyrics from some of your favorite songs.)

Hello dear poet ! James, my mind frays each day, over this powerful thought which you have enlightened us here on the soup with today my friend, yet who am I, but the peon; never with a voice with "the heads of state", so as to insist on a recovery to make your, (and all concerned) heart content, to end this pillaging of our gift from God ! Lets do a pilgrimage James; lets let our hearts be heard ;) Your write here sir is as start ! TY for this inspiration ! Have a blessed day..much love, james

Hey there James, I just had to make a turn here this morning and I wasn't disappointed to see this piece of yours.. Totally agree with you on this write. They are doing a feasibility study in the Karoo over here and I sincerely hope these people will come to their senses before it's too late.. We have so little left of untouched areas where humans didn't ruin nature's beauty and yet it continues.. Honoured that my little write could inspire you.. ;) love W
