Remove This

Search deep within me now O’Lord
remove any hostile thing
For it will only bring destruction
to the work You have planned for me

I fight each day with feelings
When I know I should turn them away
Animosity strikes when injustice is done
as one behaves in an untolerble degree

As I try to understand their course
I feel under my breath revenge
Friends tell me it’s not mine, but Yours 
who will bring this to and end

So search me Lord and take away
these feeling of the flesh
I am but a weak and struggling soul
It is on Your strength I depend

Let love and forgiveness flow through my spirit
May my speech be the sweetness of You
Replace the resentment and weariness
Put a smile on my face to show Your hue

For many times You have done this very thing 
not only for others, but  me 
I've done what now disturbs me so
By Your hand I can see it threw
