Reminiscences
In grey zones of my cerebral hemisphere lies
A wild village almost buried under debris of
bygone years. And in the mozaic of my memory
stands adamant ahouse with clay walls old,
unrenovated,visible from its windows unending
stretch of wilderness-Long winter nights spent
under its roof listening to the elegiac notes
of howling jackals,shepherds'huts in vicinity
Their hounds vigilantly guarding goats from
ravenous wolves,rain pouring menacingly,ceiling
oozing and cowdung-coated floors getting damp
Today inhabiting an industrial desert,dwelling
a company quarter with amenities makes difference
With fragrance of life missing
