REMINISCE

WHEN I SIT BACK AND REMINISCE
ABOUT THE FIRST MAN WHO CLAIMED
                                      LOVE AND ENDLESS BLISS
I HEARD HIM SAY WITHOUT DELAY
                                      DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES
                                      AS HE LAID ME DOWN
                                      FOR THE FIRST TIME
                                      WHISPERING WORDS IN MY EAR
THAT HE WANTS TO BE MINE
PROCLAIMING TO ME IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY
I HEARD HIM SAY AS IF IT WAS TODAY
                                      DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR DAYS
OH, HOW HE PROFESSED HE LOVED ME
                                      ACKNOWLEDGING I'LL LOVE WILL
                                      ENDURE UNTIL ETERNITY
THEN I HEARD HIM SAY TO MY DISMAY
                                      DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES
                                      THEN ONE, TWO THREE BEFORE
                                      YOU COULD SAY FOUR
HE HAD ZIPPED UP HIS PANTS
                                      AND WAS OUT THE DOOR
HIS WORDS STAY WITH ME FOREVER MORE
                                      DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!

I loved your poem. It kept me intrigued and got me thinking. Maybe I should have counted to four and blinked to see my suiters out the door. LOL. Continue to write your truth.
