Remember When

Remember When?

Remember as kids when we would run around?
Tearin’ up the entire town
We were truly young and free
We just knew we could be whatever we wanted to be.
Remember when the days were never long enough?
You and me we always so tough
Remember when we wanted to run away?
But we never could last even a half a day.
Remember when we said we would never grow up?
Remember when we couldn’t wait to grow up?
How the time has passed
The years they fly
By and By.
Remember when we said we would never find another friend?
Our friendship would never end.
I remember.
I remember when we first became friends.
I remember when I ate a bug.
I remember riding my first bike.
But, what we both must remember is we are still friends.
Remember, my friend. For I always do!
