Remember
remember
i cannot recreate you
no matter how i try
to resurrect your laughter
or the twinkle in your eye
nor the touch of pure elysium
beneath my fingertips
as i so lightly travel
along the wetness of your
lips
oh the tremble when i
kiss you
the grasp of your
longing hips
i reinvent our rhythm
only to find myself
amiss
a dancer without a partner
voice without a song
i squeeze turn and tumble
imagine where i belong
growing deep and long
aroused within your ember
and if I should forget
that moment of surrender
I will surely see you again
knowing
“you’re more beautiful
than I remember…”
