Remedy of Me Woes
Oh woe is me, I am old now with me granny
but I can’t call her that or she’ll kick me fanny
she has a name of Moo Moo for this old dame
and I am Fa Fa, her Norwegian flickering flame.
She is me Emma, but not she she
met her at a church dinner that was free
turned into a bad dream for me
I was just myself and now I’m not free
must of said the wrong word to thee
30 years later I am looking to make a plea
I am called to dinner by the smoke detector alarms
the cats being startled make a stance and take up arms
what will me do without her? relax with music of Brahms
taking a married sick day was too short for me calms.
when I hear the train horn my eyes come aglow
I bought her ticket to Timbuktu which will relieve me woe
will send for her using my returnable soda funds when they grow
Oh happy days and no woes to feel, I’ll wait until snow!!!!!
