Remarkable Story
I reflect on all the mistakes
I consume my thoughts into pointless fear
My insecurities are my foundation
My walls were built to keep you out
My walls were to protect me
For years i"ve lead with fear
Dove deep into mistrust
Walked a tightrope of rage
Fell flat on my face
Once you were there to pick me up
But i kicked you down
Now trust is gone
Lost in seas of trauma
Flooded by me or of those before
You stood tall and rose above
My darkness dragged you down
You found your light
You found your strength
But i continue to be confined within my walls
This pain had nothing to do with you
This pain was all on me
The way i drove you away
I am so sorry
The mean things i spoke i wish i could take back
You were and are the inspiration to build a more open foundation
As i speak to the ones that can help
I hope you can see past all that hurt and someday forgive and trust me again with your heart.
I speak from the heart
I write the words
I just pray you decide to read this remarkable story we began to write together so many years ago.
