Religions

Nothing made more peace and love,
Nothing made more tangible brotherhood,
Nothing made charity spread,
It is nothing other than religions.

Nothing spread more hatred in the world,
Nothing bred more bitter enmity,
Nothing flood the world with blood,
It is nothing other than religions.

When we think our religion is good,
And neighbor’s also good as mine,
Then we see peace and love,
Charity and brotherhood in this world.

When we think our religion is good,
But my neighbor’s not as mine,
Then the hatred and enmity rises,
Flooding the world with neighbor’s blood.

Let us accept all our religions,
And worship God with every one of them,
In whatever form he worship him,
Tolerance is not what we need.

Let us take Mohammedans’ brotherhood,
Let the Christians teach us charity,
Let us become spiritual as Hindus,
Acceptance is what we need.

If God is a Person, as I suspect, then it must grieve Him to see the evil done in His name. I've come to see the major faiths as languages wherein believers speak to and with God, and so your last stanza, Jenish, speaks to the truth that every religion brings something to table of worship.

I always think nothing separates people as hard or as fast as believing one religion is superior to another. This part is exceptionally wise: "Let us accept all our religions, and worship God with every one of them, In whatever form he worship him," I think many roads lead to God. I know I already commented, but I have to say this poem speaks to my soul.

If our religion causes us to hate another, God is not in our heart. Your words are wise. In my faith it is states “Seek and ye shall find.” I hope your search is fruitful. Blessings Richard.

This is exactly how I feel. If you believe in God then you believe there is only one God. People are just trying to argue that their idea of God is better or the only idea that is right. It's the adult version of the old "my dad is better than yours" from high school.

It's not the religion it's the individual Whatever their Colour or beliefs are that are important and we can all try to help to make the world a better place by accepting and being accepted. Beautiful Poem... Thank you

I love God but despise religions ... I love divinity but reject bigotry . In tune with your poem I too have the same thoughts as above. Yes once you accept god there is no space for hatred and rivalry. Thanks for sharing. Good flow

"Let us accept all our religions, And worship God with every one of them," Totally agreed; it is amazing to me when someone thinks that everyone has the SAME religion. We do not. The last stanza is beautiful, Jenish!
