Relativity

Aunt Evelyn’s in the kitchen
     She mixing up a batch
It’s her famous Eggnog
     Don’t drink it, there’s a catch
Once she knows you like it
     She’ll not leave you alone
“How ‘bout just a little more”
     The words exact a groan!

Then there’s Cousin Eddie
     And he’s been nippin’ Gin
It’s not a Christmas party
    Without hammered next of kin
And speaking of a hammer
     Where is Uncle Fred
The last time someone saw him
He was cracking nuts in bed

Can someone please now tell me
     Who’s singing in the den
I hope it’s not the twins again
You know its way past ten
I guess I’ll just accept it
     As most good people do
Another family Christmas
     Someone, pass me a brew
