Rejection

A perfect candidate is thrown away
Seen as an undesirable toy
Too clean to play with
Or perhaps, incomplete in construction.
Why must such a useful tool
Be cast away so effortlessly?
Perhaps it was not favored
Over the many, many other tools in the box.
Perhaps the worker wanted a hammer,
Not a wrench.
Nevertheless, it is a pain
To be forgotten.
Unwanted.
Unnecessary.
