Regaining Sheen

rarely a pearl rolls onto the shores of your life timing must be just right cadence and tide humble downward glance onto the wet sand where it all began despite the temptation to keep it locked away -safe never take a pearl home beauty is only borrowed never owned.. but if you must roll it ever so gently between tenderness- lust just remember its heat belongs to no one and if held for to long it quickly becomes just another cold lusterless stone when you're through gently give it back to the tide pray it regains its salt and the elusive sheen of life
