I wrote a poem
A long time ago
It was full of despair
And gray cloudy skies
It made me cry

I then saw a child
Playing in a park
Laughing and full of joy
I wrote no more
Of gray cloudy skies

Thank You Franci. I really have made an effort to write more joyful type poetry these past couple of years during this never ending pandemic. I just published "365 Joyful Poems" which is about how I used my poetry to overcome these depressing times.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I hope you will share more with us. I liked your first piece. It brought about a new way of thinking during a gray, gloomy time.

Thank You Milton, I am new to this and am still trying to navigate the system. However, due to the pandemic and all the political ranting I decided to write 365 feel good poems without using any sad or discouraging words over the course of 365 days. This is but one of them. tks again
