Reflections

What if your mirror could talk
What do you think it would say?
Would it tell you all the wrong you've done,
Or just let you walk away?

Would it remind you of your promises,
That's now turned into lies?
Would it tell you of your failures,
As you peer into its eyes

Would it tell you who you really are,
As you stare at it's reflection?
If you told it all your secrets,
Would it voice to you objection?

Would it set you on the righteous path,
Back where you belong?
Would it tell you where your life has changed,
At the place where it went wrong?

So what if your mirror could talk
And told you what you've been missin'?
Would we still only see our reflection
And never take the time to listen
