Reflections
Reflections
Like an invisible phantom, the wind pushes its way through the tree tops, seeming to pause for a moment before moving on. Its chill remains, cooling my skin from the warm summer sun. as I repose near a shimmering mountain lake, my mind is filled with contentment. I gaze into the life-giving waters of the lake, and I see my reflection. As I stare at the sparkling likeness, I contemplate my existence. In this world’s endless bounty, I stand alone, unique in a sense. While the wonders of creation besiege me, the sense of loneliness abounds, but God’s presence will always be found in the reflections that surround us.
