Redemption
In a sea of endless desire,
I struggle to reach reality.
I cringe at the thought of detriment.
I scream from the bottom of my heart,
matted with a string of false luxuries.
Dread hangs from my lips.
I strive to blink past the falsehood clouding my eyes.
I hesitate to breathe along side you.
A hum of hypocrisy pierces my ears.
Your petty declarations so irrelevant now…
a subtle reminder of senseless behavior.
Tell me why it is you emerge so proud from the shadows of deceit?
Your exorbitant tales linger in my mind.
I crave redemption.
You enticed me so successfully,
for I was floating in oblivion.
A vulgar decision coming from you,
though I’m at fault for believing a reckless soul.
How canny you were in the art of your game…
but I crave redemption,
and I will reach my destination.
