Redeemed
She finds herself -in dreams -
dwelling in a cozy place where nothing is elusive,
and in these reveries,
she finds him there with her. . .a different man.
He isn't surreptitious, so not beset by doubt,
she's not compelled to query him.
He opens up to her,
and she is loved.
He finds himself - in dreams -
living happy moments free to be himself,
and in these reveries,
often she appears. . . but unobtrusively,
without her rain of questions pounding him.
Instead, she smiles acceptance,
inviting him to show himself to her,
and he is loved.
And in between the waking past
and incubus of their reality,
they dream in peace. . . together
and redeemed.
