Redeemed

Though I profess the name Jesus and not know Him as Lord and King
I’m at risk of being lost eternally to never hear His praises ring
But because He loves me dearly, I’ve been…
Emancipated and my soul set free
Saved from my sins and by His blood washed clean
Not only forgiven but also redeemed
Though I speak with a voice of freedom and know not the risen Christ
I’m in danger of eternal damnation with no hope of eternal life
He still loves me dearly and I’ve been…
Released from bondage and atoned for
His life given in exchange for mine as all of my sins he bore
So I say, thank you Your Majesty, so sovereign and serene
Not only have you forgiven me but my soul you have redeemed
