Red Wine

red wine is on my mind.
freedom will i find.
do i need glasses or m i BLIND.
y do i seem To never know the time.

red wine is what i feel.
wish i was like this eternal u know the deal.
my love it can steal.
is this real.

red wine is sweet.
i set n the hear the BIRD's tweet.
no shoe's on my feet.
the roof is my seat.

red wine is soothing n has me on my TOE'S.
thought's n my mind no1 know's.
my lung n my heart grow's.
set back n watch the cloud shows.
smoke it blow's.

red wine is almost done.
MAN was that fun.
on the shingle's n the sun.
RED WINE NUMBER #1....................................

This poem brings back some teen year memories. One day, when no one was home, A friend and I took a small round table with two chairs and put them on top of our flatroofed detached garage. We had a tea party. The next day at school, a penthouse neighbor asked me what we were doing on the roof. It was wonderful and free up there!!! Thanks for the memory. He was a good young man...never forward and always respectful. Lost now to time and distance. God Bless and welcome to poetry soup.
