Red white and blue exploding in the sky
Veterans hiding in their houses, not being able to stand it
Dogs barking their disapproval as their ears hurt badly 
New lovers on blankets in the park, feeling validated

Fourth of July fireworks a stress to their PSTD for sure

Such a contrast of feelings every Independence Day

I think it is ironic that we blast off these loud noises in honor of being patriots, and they hurt dogs, cats and patriots with PTSD more than anything else.
