Red Streaks

Red streaks
I brush you onto my canvas
What will you become?

Red streaks
On another canvas
What have I become?

My paint drips like blood
So familiar
All too familiar

A droplet caresses my forearm
So many red streaks
Past and present

Red streaks
Some to create
Some to destroy
